I just received an email asking me to send my username and password to the Brenau IT department. Is this for real?

The IT department will NEVER ask for your password. Since hackers who use these attacks always alter them slightly to pass through spam filters there is no way for us to stop 100% of them. Please be aware of the threat and simply ignore these attempts to deceive you and delete the email or move it to your Spam folder.
