Some users have experienced the number pad on their computer not working as expected when they have remoted into a Brenau computer using Remote.Brenau.EDU. The problem, is that the number pad does not put in numbers on the remote computer, and pressing the Number Lock key on the computer they are using at home or off campus, does not resolve the problem.
While there is no "fix" for this, there is a work around to correct the problem.
Once you have remoted into your computer, you will need to turn on the Num-Lock feature on the remote computer.
To do this you will need to open your the onscreen keyboard on the remote computer. First go to the Windows Icon and search for keyboard.
Once you have opened the keyboard on your remote computer, you will need to turn on the number pad option, and then turn on the Num-Lock key.
The number keypad should now work to put in numbers on the computer you have remoted into.
You can close the onscreen keyboard.
Note, that you may need to do this each time, as the setting may not always stay.
