If your video is a Zoom Cloud Recording, you can easily trim the videos on the Zoom site by going to
https://zoom.us (log in) and go to RECORDINGS. Once you bring up a recording, if you click on the video you will see options to edit it. You can read more about this option here:
While there are third-party tools you can use to edit videos such as iMovie (Mac) or Camtasia (PC-$199), the easiest way to edit your videos is using YouTube's built-in editing features. Every Brenau user has a YouTube account as part of their Brenau email account and can upload multiple video
formats. Note: Zoom uses .mp4 format which is supported by YouTube.
With YouTube, you can:
- Combine multiple videos and images you've uploaded to create a new video.
- Trim your clips to custom lengths.
- Add music to your video from a library of approved tracks.
- Customize clips with special tools and effects.
- Secure your videos by setting them as Private (share with individuals) or Unlisted (embed link in course)
- After editing, you can Embed YouTube videos into your Canvas course using Canvas's tools
You can read more about these features at

In addition to YouTube, all faculty have access to SnagIT which can be installed on your Brenau computer at Start - Software Center. You can read more about how to edit videos in SnagIT here:
For students or faculty that want an offline editor, there is a "free for home use" video editing product called VideoPad at
http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/ (Be sure to download the "Free Edition").
This software cannot be installed on Brenau computers however due to licensing restrictions.
