Unfortunately, it's not possible for us to know what might be causing you to have problems with someone else's wireless network.  There could be any number of reasons including an incompatibility between your device and their wireless technology.  All we can do is recommend some basic diagnostics.

*Turn Wi-Fi on and off: This simple step can often resolve temporary glitches. Click the Start menu - Task tray (bottom-right corner) and click the Wi-Fi tile.  You will see the option there to turn on/off your wireless.

*Restart your device. Rebooting your computer can refresh network connections and clear temporary issues.
